June 2019 update

Hello guys, I just wanted to update you on how my life is going and just how much it has changed. Let me first start off by saying how grateful I am for you guys and the scholarship you guys gave to me. I moved into USF on Sunday and have been living on campus for the past three days. My roommate is pretty cool and I love it here. Although sometimes I do miss home even though it is about 20 mins away haha. I just wanted to let you guys know how I was doing and that I still want to keep in contact from time to time just to show I am still active and haven’t forgotten about you guys.

Sincerely,
Mathieu Dorismond Jr

Hi Mathieu – cool…..we really appreciate your wanting to stay in touch. Best of luck with your classes. College is a unique experience – we wish you many blessings and that you have the time and ability to explore new things while you are there.

Love
Eric and Wendi Herzberg

January 2019 update

Hello Mr and Mrs. Herzberg. It is Mathieu Dorismond, one of the recipients of the scholarship. I am currently in my senior year of high school and really enjoying it. One of the biggest news that I have to tell you is that I got accepted to my top university which was the University of South Florida (USF). I want to study Exercise Science there. I plan to become a physical therapist in the future and do that as my career.
I’m mainly just focused on school nowadays, but it would be great to hear back from you guys to see what you are up to as well.

Hi Mathieu – that is wonderful news!  Thank you so much for reaching out to us.  Do you know what you want to study there?  We would love to get a few recent photos so we can post to your web page on Eric’s site.   We cant believe how fast time goes.  We are very proud of you for reaching this goal…..we know it was hard work that got you there.

Continued blessings,
Eric and Wendi Herzberg

October 2017 update

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Herzberg. This is Mathieu Dorismond and I know it’s been a while but I just wanted to tell you guys that everything is going well in my life. I am currently in the 11th grade and now 17 years old. I can’t wait to be a senior next year and graduate with all my friends. You guys have really changed my life for the better and I am forever grateful for you guys. Thank you so much and I would love to hear how you are all doing.

From,
Mathieu Dorismond Jr

Hi Mathieu – so great to hear from you!  We can’t believe you are 17 now.  Time is flying by.  Our son Brendan was about your age when we awarded the scholarship to you – he has graduated high school and has taken a gap year before starting college.  He is working full-time and doing very well.  What are your future plans?  We’d love to keep up with you throughout the years.  You have a very nice family – thank you for the photo as well.

Many blessings
Eric and Wendi Herzberg

November 2013 update
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Herzberg,

There are many things going on in my life right now. I just completed the first nine weeks at my school. I am hoping that I have good grades. I am very focused in school and I am working my hardest to do everything right. I will continue to stay on the right path also.    Those are just some of the many things going on. I would also like to hear what and how things are progressing in your life.  Please respond when you can and we will be in touch.

September 2013 update
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Herzberg,

I just wanted to start off by saying thank you for the scholarship. I am very thankful that Faith and Justin Carman were able to come to the contract signing and presented me with the scholarship award. I am glad to say that I got this scholarship in the name of your son. Thank you once again for the scholarship. I am sure that it will take me many places in life including the college of my choosing. My future plans for this scholarship will be put to good use. I will go to college (USF) and then later on work at my dream job. I will surely become a sports therapist. This scholarship will open doors for me that probably would have never been opened, so I am very grateful to all of you choosing me for this amazing scholarship. I plan on making you proud by upholding my grades and remaining focused in school and getting far in life.
