Patrick is from Dematha High School and participated in the Habitat for Humanity build event during the summer of 2012.  He also was one of the founders of a charity hockey game in which players wore the names of Fallen Heroes on their hockey jerseys.  Patrick wore Eric’s name and even scored a goal during the game.  After the game, Patrick was kind enough to donate the jersey to me.  I plan to wear it while playing music at church during special days during the year to honor and remember Eric.  Thank you Patrick!

Patrick will be attending Robert Morris University and will be majoring in Cyber Forensics and Information Security. He plans on playing on one of the ACHA (club) hockey teams there and hopes to work for the government after he graduates.  Best of luck Patrick!

Update July 2013:
Mr. Herzberg,
I hope that you are doing well. I just wanted to pass this along. My cousin is building a memorial, brick by brick, to honor his brother who was killed in Afghanistan in Dec. 2011, as well as the 9/11 victims and all of those who have lost their lives in the War on Terror. He is completing this memorial for his Eagle Scout project and it will be built in North Carolina. My family donated a brick in honor of Eric. We wanted to contribute to his project and thought that it was a great place to honor him. Below is a link to an interview that he gave to talk about the memorial.

I will send some pics of the brick and memorial when it is completed.

Take care.
